What up ballplayers and bettors. Welcome to MLB Quick picks for May 22nd. I’ve got some exciting picks for you tonight that should recharge your bank accounts and put some cash back in your mitt.
So, if you’re ready for some hot picks, then let’s get to it. My first pick is the Braves moneyline vs Phillies and its mainly because of Vince Velasquez. The Phillies’ righty is the definition of “great stuff, bad starts.” Velazquez holds an egregious 6.10 ERA in four home starts this year and he’s facing a Braves line up that his lit him up twice already this season to the tune of 16 hits and 7 earned runs in only 8.2 innings. When you factor in that Atlanta is the hottest team in the majors and is 17-8 SU on the road, I’m riding with young guns of A.T.L.
My next pick is to take the UNDER between the Yankees and the Rangers. Texas has been struggling lately as they rank 29th in batting average and 27th in O.P.S. in the month of May and are only hitting .224 vs right-handed pitching this month. The Rangers are also sending lefty Cole Hamels to face the Yanks and he’s gotten an abysmal 2.9 runs per game of support in nine starts this season.
Considering the total has gone UNDER 9.5 runs in eight of the Rangers last 11 games, the UNDER seems like free money. My final pick is the Red Sox runline vs the Rays at the Trop. Chris Sales takes the bump for the Sox and when he’s starting, your bet is usually on the fast track to a win. The lefty ace has a 2.48 ERA in six road starts this season with a microscopic 0.82 WHIP.
It also doesn’t hurt to know that when Sale faced this lineup on opening day, he mowed down the Rays, limiting them to one hit and zero runs in six innings. While I could easily just gush about Sale for the rest of the video, I would be remiss without mentioning that the Red Sox will be batting against Jacob Faria, who has a 14.29 ERA vs Boston in two appearances this season. Yeah that’s not a joke. A 14.29 ERA. For more MLB and sports betting coverage, check out oddsshark.com and get all info you need on how to make bets and which sportsbook works best for you.
